Like the last two days we start our day at Mama's Royal - there's a big variety of food!
Our talk brings us to Charly Deal (www.dealguitars.com), a guy who's been building toilet seat guitars for centuries and has even been on German television. Wayne knows him and so we visit him at home in his studio, he's very nice and funny!
Next we visit some nice shops, pass by the Sweetwater Saloon (www.sweetwatersaloon.com) which is THE music bar of Mill Valley since the 60ies with many famous people playing there (unfortunately we've never made it there in the evening), and finally end up at Village Music, a huge old record store. Christian could spend a fortune there, good that we can't transport records in our suitcase :-)
Last we meet another friend of Wayne who has a little boutique and we have a nice talk there. We find out that she had exposed some of Charly Deal's guitars some time ago and that they're still in her shop, Charly shows up and we end up carrying toilet seat guitars through town back to his flat.
In the evening we give the outlet a second try and go shopping.
Today we are meeting with Wayne (www.ranchobozo.com), whom we got to know via the internet when we were looking for someone from Mill Valley who could tell us more about the hippie culture there. Christian does an interview with him for about one hour and then we start off to get a great tour through Mill Valley.
We spend the afternoon in Fairfax, another town in Marin County with lots of small shops and cafés.
